Osher Marin Jewish Community Center

The New Koret Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood

The Osher Marin Jewish Community Center recently celebrated the opening of its new Koret Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood – a focal point for Jewish literacy and learning in the North Bay.

Funded with support from the Koret Foundation and Taube Philanthropies, the new center exemplifies the Koret Taube Initiative on Jewish Peoplehood through its commitment to presenting innovative and thoughtful Jewish programming. Over the past three years, the Osher Marin JCC has fully embraced this initiative by partnering with local and global scholars and organizations. Programs include courses on a range of Jewish topics, influential speakers and thought-leaders, author events, off-site learning opportunities, and art and cultural exhibits.

The OMJCC reaches a diverse set of Jews in the North Bay with its first-rate programming. The Jewish population of Marin and Sonoma counties has grown by 80 percent in the past 16 years, and the region is now home to over 60,000 Jewish people.
