Our program staff looks for the following elements in evaluating your proposal for funding:
Organization description:
- Eligibility: Is your organization a 501(c)(3) and is it not a private foundation? Please provide your federal ID number.
- Mission: Are your organization's mission and/or program goals consistent with Koret interests?
- Capacity: Has your organization demonstrated the capability and acquired the experience to successfully carry out the project proposed?
- Leadership: Has your organization's leadership demonstrated the ability to deliver results? Please provide name, title, and e-mail address for the key contact rgarding this request, the CEO of the organization, and the head of the organization's governing body, i.e. president or board chair.
Key features of proposed grant application:
- Please clearly articulate the rationale for the proposed project, the constituency to be served, and the landscape and competition in the program area.
- Please explain how the project goals will be achieved, and describe any applicable research affecting your project.
- Please specify the anticipated project outcomes; the impact on your clients, the community, and your organization; and how objectives will be measured.
- Please include a timetable for implementation.
- We will need to review a complete, detailed budget (project budget and, in the case of a multi-year project, an annual budget).
- Please enclose a list of funding sources and amounts, both committed and pending, as well as a plan for raising all needed funds.
