Jeffrey A. Farber, CEO

Jeff FarberJeffrey A. Farber joined the Koret Foundation as Chief Executive Officer in 2005, assuming management of all aspects of the organization. His strengths as a strategic thinker, outstanding communicator, and able mentor have fueled his long track record of volunteer and professional leadership. Following a 25-year career with the Bank of America, his position at the Koret Foundation has afforded him the opportunity to merge his professional strengths with his philanthropic vision. Under his leadership, Koret has supported a number of cultural and civic initiatives, including the California Academy of Sciences, the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and the Taube-Koret Campus for Jewish Life in Palo Alto.

Mr. Farber holds a variety of community and philanthropic leadership positions. He is immediate past chair of Northern California AIPAC, the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, and serves on its national executive committee. He serves on the Board of Overseers of the Hoover Institution, is a board member of the Commonwealth Club of California, a trustee at the Center for Human Rights Leadership at Claremont McKenna College, and a long-time director of the American Friends of Koret Israel Economic Development Funds, an initiative developed to expand free-market policy and economic opportunity in Israel.

Mr. Farber and his wife, Barbara, make their home in Tiburon, CA.
